Press Release

Dual Zone
April 20 - 28, 2013
Opening Reception: April 20, 2013, 3 - 5 PM

Key Projects is pleased to present Dual Zone an exhibition featuring Steve Karlik, Debra Ramsay and Karen Schifano.

Dual Zone is a place that lies in-between, an investigation into works that derive from painting but have characteristics of sculpture.

The artists in Dual Zone are stretching, pulling, folding, angling and constructing with varied materials, works that exist in that twofold state.

Steve Karlik creates opposing forces that work harmoniously in his “tension and compression” series. Debra Ramsay methodically maps a space using repeating lines and folds that intersect and recede. Karen Schifano’s constructions are playful commentaries on geometric abstraction.
